Opposites Attack

Here it is! The season two championship match! Our three divisional champs have come a long way, but only one of them will be our next Super Mondo Champion of Champions! Chris Sims of War Rocket Ajax, Fug Girl Heather Cocks, and Margaret H. Willison from the Appointment Television podcast.

In round one, players will decipher the sworn enemies of certain celebrities by who has an opposite name (e.g. Nia Long vs. Martin Short) before taking a trip to yesteryear by untangling mashups of the most successful movies, books, and songs of a particular year. And of course, it all comes down to the lightning round.

This iconic 80s rock anthem starts with a very hummable synthesizer line, before a set of lyrics that describe the "final countdown" to a rocketship taking off for outer space. Europe is both the band's name and a world continent (as found on a globe). On "Arrested Development," G.O.B. Bluth (Will Arnett) uses this song to underscore his magic shows.
