The season seven playoffs roll on as Ross, Jon, and Derek square off to determine the winner of the Monster Division. We’ll take a trip back in time to the community sports programs of our youths before going even further back in time to quiz about pop culture portrayals of Albert Einstein. They’ll make you say “Yahoo!” Seriously. Round two asks our players to name pop culture properties based on the titles of the fictional books found within them. All of that, plus the customary but nonetheless vibrant and exciting, lightning round!

The Riddle

I have a good job writing about sports in a column,

My dad looks like a monster, a bit like a golem.

I just want my parents to leave me alone,

So maybe I shouldn't have moved right across from their home.

Answer

Ray Barone, played by Ray Romano on Everybody Loves Raymond, is a sports columnist on Long Island. His father was played by Peter Boyle, who is best known for playing Frankenstein's monster in Young Frankenstein, a created humanoid figure - a bit like the golem from Jewish lore. He spent his early adult life trying to be the appropriate distance from his parents and their meddling (close enough that they could come, but far enough away that they wouldn't too often, and not so far away that they would stay overnight), but wound up buying a house directly across from them.
